Host plant for Snowberry Clearwing hummingbird moth and Clearwing Hummingbird moth.

In the early spring newly growing plants of dogbane look almost identical to milkweed. As the plant matures it will have more branching in comparison to common milkweed and the flowers are very different. This helpful guide with photos explains what to look for.
