Bumblebee populations are reported to be in decline. We will discuss the various species of bumble bees, how to identify them, and their special relationship with such flowers as false indigo (Baptisia australis).
Availability
This class is available during the last week of April and the first two weeks of May to coincide with the false indigo flowering period.
duration
Class time is variable between 60–90 minutes.
Hands on learning
We will safely capture live bumblebees for identification and observation then release them.
