Our Experience

We love mountain mints and so do all the pollinators! If you want to draw all kinds of insects to your yard we highly recommend planting any species of mountain mint. They are easy to grow and thrive on benign neglect.

So far this species of mountain mint is not a prolific spreader like its relative short-toothed mountain mint. It slowly expands each season. It tends to be a bit floppy in our habitat so we plant other sturdy plants around it for natural support.

Slender Mountain Mint looks identical or similar to Virginia Mountain Mint.
