We love strawflowers and so do the insects! These long blooming flowers will abundantly produce if regularly deadheaded. This is the tall variety of strawflower–they may require staking or support.
When we have grown these picturesque flowers we are amazed at the assortment of insects drawn to them. Beetles, hover flies, sweat bees, butterflies, just to name a few! They also make an excellent cut flower and the flower itself will last a long time if dried.
