Our Experience

Vernonia gigantea is also called Vernonia altissima. In our habitat this species of Vernonia is featured in our Very Tall Garden. All plants in our Very Tall Garden must have a minimum height of 6 feet. Once ours matured it consistently tops out around 10 or more feet each year. It may require some support for the outermost stalks, but over all this plant remains sturdy over the growing season.
