Our Experience
We are excited to add a thistle in our habitat this year because when we go butterfly counting out in the wild we will see dozens of butterflies on both native and non-native thistles. Yes, thistles are prickly and ‘weedy’ but considering how they are an awesome pollinator plant we don’t mind and we hope you’ll not mind, too!
Fun fact: Artichokes are a type of thistle!
